Dominique Sorace, MCP, RCC is a Registered Clinical Counsellor who brings a rich blend of clinical training, lived experience, and compassion to her work as a therapist. Before beginning her professional career in counselling, Dominique spent over six years supporting youth and families in school-based non-profit settings as an education assistant. This foundation shaped her ability to connect meaningfully with individuals across all walks of life.
Dominique has experience and specialized training in supporting clients with anxiety, depression, trauma, eating disorders, perfectionism, OCD, and neurodivergence. Her therapeutic toolkit includes Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Emotion-Focused Family Therapy (EFFT), and EMDR (Level 1 and 2).
At the heart of Dominique’s approach is a deep respect for each person’s story. She tailors her therapeutic work to the unique needs, preferences, and cultural contexts of each client, drawing on person-centred values while attending to biological, psychological, and social influences. Her goal is for clients to leave sessions with a stronger sense of self, practical tools for everyday life, and greater confidence in expressing their needs and navigating challenges.
Dominique is known for creating a space that is safe, welcoming, and non-judgmental—where clients feel truly seen, heard, and respected.
Outside of the therapy room, Dominique enjoys going to the gym, taking Pilates classes, exploring new hiking trails, and spending quality time with her family, friends, and her beloved cat.
In her work with individuals, Chantelle supports clients navigating issues like anxiety, stress, life transitions, relationship concerns, and self-esteem. Her approach creates a space for self-reflection, healing, and meaningful growth.
