Yen holds a Master’s Degree in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University. He is accredited under CCPA as a Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC). He has served clients coming from all organizations, like CVAP, ICBC and other employee assistance programs. His clients span across the globe as a result of his language capabilities. He serves in Mandarin, Cantonese, Malay and English.

He emphasizes empathy, grace, and understanding in his sessions. Putting clients first and listening attentively to what they have to say. He believes validation and encouragement can go a long way, specializing in Solutions-Focused Brief Therapy, Observed Experiential Integration and Play Therapy to name a few.

His goal is to help you find meaning in the mess, and have the capacity to process that going forward. We are not just here to overcome, but to also understand what needs to happen before we do.
