Xiaoxiao (Emily) Dan is a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) who provides compassionate, trauma-informed counselling to individuals, couples, and families. She works with clients experiencing trauma and complex trauma, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, family conflict, cultural adjustment, and major life transitions.
Emily’s approach is collaborative, culturally responsive, and grounded in evidence-based practice. She places strong emphasis on emotional safety, client autonomy, and building a trusting therapeutic relationship. Emily believes meaningful change occurs when clients feel understood, respected, and supported at a pace that feels right for them.

Her work integrates psychoeducation, emotional regulation skills, and strengths-based interventions tailored to each client’s unique needs, background, and goals.
Emily has experience supporting individuals impacted by interpersonal trauma, high-conflict relationships, parenting stress, and cultural or systemic barriers. She is particularly attentive to how trauma, family dynamics, and social context influence emotional well-being.
Emily welcomes clients from diverse cultural backgrounds and is committed to ongoing learning, ethical practice, and professional growth. She offers counselling in English and Mandarin.
