Counselling from your own space in the Okanagan

Wellspring offers online appointments to clients located in Kelowna. Our clinicians can meet you remotely while you are physically in British Columbia. Wellspring’s only in-person office is in Vancouver; the service described here is online.

Before your appointment, choose a private place, check your connection and think about whether you can speak comfortably without being overheard. If privacy or technology makes online meetings difficult, discuss this with your counsellor before deciding how to proceed.

Choose a language and a way of working

The words you use to describe emotions, family and identity matter. Our manual team filters let you choose a language, area of focus, approach and counsellor gender. Each preference is optional. You can also use the optional AI matching assistant to learn about the team.

For work, family or cultural changes, explore life transitions counselling. Other starting points include anxiety, stress and substance use counselling. The right focus can be discussed with the clinician rather than decided through a filter.

Planning appointments when your location changes

Your location during a session matters even when the appointment is online. If you travel outside BC, tell the clinician where you will be before booking. Availability across provinces and territories depends on clinician eligibility; the Canada guide explains the available routes.

For a free consultation, useful questions include the clinician’s experience with your concerns, their working style, language preferences and how to prepare for your first online session.

Public services in Kelowna

Interior Health lists Kelowna Mental Health & Substance Use and explains how to access mental health and substance use services. These are public-service routes separate from Wellspring. Visit Interior Health for current eligibility and access information.

Fees, benefits and your first step

Start with a free 15-minute consultation to discuss fit, your goals and practical questions. It is an introductory conversation; ongoing counselling sessions are paid appointments. Check current fees and insurance information and the clinician’s booking calendar before scheduling.

If you plan to use extended health benefits, ask your insurer whether your chosen clinician’s Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) designation is covered. A consultation does not establish coverage or guarantee that a particular approach is appropriate for you.

The practice behind your appointments

Wellspring Counselling & Psychotherapy was founded in 2016 by Alistair Gordon, MA, RCC, UBC Adjunct Professor, published author and developer of CorMorphosis™ Psychotherapy. The team offers different therapeutic approaches, languages and areas of practice. You can compare them before deciding who to contact.
